Could make it on the podium twice in Penghu

The wind did not kick in anymore in Makung. So I kept the position from the 24th. The organisation was great and created a nice programm for the days without wind. The highlight was the tow windsurfing in Lin Tou Beach, an amazing place. Anders pulled myself with the jetski. The start was quite tricky. In one arm the rope →

First day of competition in Penghu

The first day of competition is over and I had some success. Could place in the discipline Speed on the second position, just 0.4 km/h behind the winner Anders Bringdal, who could make 60.1 km/h. My best speed was 59.7 km/h. Sailed on the ISONIC 87 and AERO 6.6. The wind was in between 20 and 24 knots. Before the speedsailing →

Had my first session on the water

Two days ago I arrived well on the island of Penghu/Taiwan. Had to pay a bit of money to get my gear on the plane in BKK. But had my first windsurfing session yesterday evening in 20 to 25 knots with the Isonic 101 and the Challenger AERO SL 6.6. Can not expect to get mor ewind and speed downwind. Checked →

Leaving my homecountry and my friends

Less than a day is left before the aeroplane will start on th eairport of Munch towards Thailand /BKK. From there I will head to Taiwan, where the windforecast looks quite nice. On sunday it´s never windy

That´s not always true, perhaps on Maui, where the Pros are waiting for waves and wind. I had a great afternoon. Sailed my new 5.3 m² BASH 2007. Great sail. Accelerates with so less wind and fits perfect with the Starboard Flare 111. After the freestylesession I changed to my Slalom gear, the 9.0 m² AERO SL and my Isonic →

Windy November

"You have powers you never dreamed of. You can do things you never thought you could do. There are no limitations in what you can do except the limitations of your own mind" - Charles Darwin A sort of challenging words. Try to sail more and more and forget about the cold temperatures and short days. Want to be well prepared →

Imagine, can be like “Kitzbühel”, almost…

Just came back from a roundtrip through Austria passing by the wonderful "Rolling Hills" of Bad Blumau and the city of Graz, where the moutain- and adventure filmfestival had been started. My windsurfing fellow and professional filmmaker Thomas Miklautsch presented his latest film "OM", a portrait of life in the mountains of Afghanistan and the sweet coast of India. He →

The wind did not stop

While the night the wind turned more to westerly and the conditions were great around midday. Was a bit too big with the 5.7 m², but could manage the overpower. It´s sometimes a challenge to go too big. The young guns were out on the water: Max, Lorenz and Alex. They all went for big freestyle. And waterman Walter from →

Freestyle fun in November 2006

Some degrees warmer, wind from southwest and a lot of motivation. I went out the second time with my Flare 111 and the Challenger Bash 5.7 2007. Like the gear so much!! Cut my 22 fin about while touching the ground, uups. The lake is quite shallow in Podersdorf. Forecast for tomorrow is nice and will make another session possible. →

Nice session in the afternoon

The  wind picked up in the afternoon, like promised. Although the windchill was massive, temperature was around -1°, but it was fun to sail. Max Matissek, one of this young fresh freestylers was out, too. I sailed on my freestyleboard (FLARE 111) for the the first time since the 8th of September 2006. 50 days without being on a freesyler →
