Still on investigation in Taiwan

We are still on the Pescadores getting more infos, riding more waves and having more fun. Met a lot of nice people her, went for a painting lesson this morning after an awesome day on a remote island. We took a ship to an little island, where we got the chance to ride some bigger waves breaking over shallow ground. →

Hot Pot & Aeron Booms

We enjoyed the best "Hot Pot" in Makung for the 2nd time...You take the food off a train and put it in your hot pot. So delicious! But don´t think we just eat and do nothing else...We had a great day at a nice wavespot on the eastside of Penghu. Since yesterday I am teammember of Aeron Booms, which makes me →

Session with Howard

Howard is the only freestyler on Penghu island, although they have a lot of wind and nice spots. Was fun to sail together again and could see, how much he improved since November 2006. We have now a rental motorbike and are cruising around the islands. The wind should kick in this afternoon. Will do some watershots in Makung.... Keep you →

Arrived in Makung/Penghu

With some hours delay, around 8 hours, we left the airport of Hochiminh and flew over to Taipeh, where Nico picked us up around 2.00 in the morning. Next morning we jumped on the Uni air flight to Makung. The air felt so warm when we walked out the airport. A summerday while wintertime. Global warming?? Later we checked in →

Fun after Fun Cup

The wind was stronger than the days before and we could take our EVO 70 and 75 out of the boardbag. I sailed till the moon was up. The wind did not stop. Kerstin shot some nice pics, after she stopped sailing. pic:kerstinreiger.com

Clinic at Jibe´s

Made a clinic at the Jibe´s center in Vietnam about basic freestyle tricks. Around 20 sailors joined the lesson. We had perfect conditions with wind in between 15-20 knots.

Fun Cup ended in real fun

On the 2nd day of the competition the wind did not kick in. Just 8-12 knots. Not enough for me. I tried one race on a Go 185 and could qualify for the final. In the final I took a Go 139 and was not planing all the time. Had no chance against the small lightweighted sailors, who were on →

Light breeze while the first day

The 8th Vietnam Cup got started with an official opening party around 10.00 p.m. Around 11.00 the northeasterly started, but never blew really strong and consistent. The men went for a single elimination, which includes a loosers system. Quite fair. Nobody was allowed to sail on real slalomboards. Most of the guys went on S-Types. I decided for a D-Ram →

Good evening Vietnam

After a 4 hour drive till 1am and a crazy Israelien tourist on board and 8 pieces (200kg) of luggage (Thai airways was happy with us) we finally arrived at the "Full Moon Resort" in Mui Ne. Today the wind kicked in quite late but was still a nice breeze with the 5,3 Bash and Flare 99 and Evo 75 XTV. Was →
