Island trip

It was good to have a day free before the contest starts. We went to the house of Cesar Manrique, who was working as an artist, architect, etc. on the island. He influenced the architecture on the whole island. We got a little view on his work, while visiting the "fundacion cesar manrique" in Tahiche. Later on we made a →

Island hopping

It was time to leave Fuerteventura for the PWA Worldcup Lanzarote. That´s always hard. Leaving friends and the perfect wind. The trip was relaxed, stopping at a little restaurant on the way up to Corralejo. Good luck, we got the 4pm ferry to Playa Blanca on Lanzarote. Was close, just 2 min. before the ship left. Lanzarote has a nice architecture. →

Video Sotavento

Going downwind on my 5,0 Aero and Isonic 87 in front of the Pro Center 1 Rene Egli. Still good wind here on Fuerteventura, but our bags are packed, we´re ready to go to Lanzarote.

Super conditions at Sotavento

While the last two days the wind was pretty solid at the famous beach of Sotavento. Kerstin sailed on her 3.3 K.Onda and the EVO 70. Yesterday I went out with Jesper Orth to get on some downwindlegs. We were powered up on 5.0 Slalom sails, both the Isonic 87 under the heels. Kerstin got sick and it´s hard for →

Arrived on Fuerteventura

Everywhere I go, it is windy. This trip started quite good. LTU took all our gear for free and Mattias from Sun and Fun Fuerteventura gave us a shuttle from the airport. Today we had good sailingconditions. I was on Isonic 87 and 5,8 Aero, later on I changed to the Evo 80 and 5,0 K-Onda wavesail. Kerstin was on →

Just a short break

After coming back home from Costa Brava late night on the 18th the work started next morning. Now it´s the 22nd and it´s time to pack for the Canaries. It will be a cool trip. On the one hand I will travel around together with my Kerstin, on the other hand there will be a chance to have some sessions →

Massive wind and wild crashes

On the last day of the slalom 42 competition here at Costa Brava I really improved sailing on the limit. The wind picked up to 30 knots and I was flying on my Isonic 101 and the AERO 7,6 m. Did make a good fifth first round finishing on the 8th position, which was not enough to advance, but felt →

The wind picks up

The plan is to go for half fleets and round three first. The wind picks up and I will rigg my gear. Keep you updated about the final, Chris

It´s over for today

The colour of the sky changed from deep grey to deep blue colour after some rainfall. For this evening we can expect a big barbecue party at the beach. More than 2000 people are expected to attend. There was traffic jam at the camproads two hours ago. I will go there just for a short peroiod of time, because I →

A long day at the beach

It was a long day at the beach. Th elast race was held at 18.45. It was heat one and I went in heat two, which got started twice. I had a relatively good start sailing on my Aero 8.4 and the Isonic 122 with a Drake 42. But the wind died as well in the second attempt. It needs →

The slalom is really tough here

The second day of slalom racing here in Costa Brava was really hard. The wind picked up around 13.15. The first heat was heat 4 in elimination 1, the heat I went in. Was on 7th position at the second last mark, but slipped off the board after the jibe and just made it on the 9th position. In the →

Today was a lucky day!! The brand new Challenger AERO 7.6 m² arrived from Italy and as well a 3.3 m² K.Onda for super stormy days on the Canaries or for Kerstin in Gran Canaria. It´s really small. Luff 333 and boomlength 141. Today was the last chance to get the sails because I will leave on monday early in →

My interests are wide spreaded

I love windsurfing, but since my girlfriend started her school in artphotography, I started to love the photography more and more. "You can express your personality and show your attitudes." I got books in my hands telling stories about famous people in the photography, went to museums or  tried to do some more shots by myself than usual. Just three days →
