Cycling instead of windsurfing

There was no chance to catch any wind. But the area I live is great for cycling. For the upcoming days the wind should pick up and I will jump on my Isonics. Cycling makes some workout in the legs, which could help me to keep my board quite nice on the water, and gives great views. I placed some for →

Unexpected gusts of wind and “thunderstruck”

Some days ago the sky got dark within some minutes. The temperature was super warm, around 35°. But within a second a thunderstorm started, the temperature went down by 15° and we were sitting directly in the center of a massive thunderstorm. There was no chance to get on the water, because the wind kept his force just for around →

Alacti is over

The place was great, it was fun and sport on it´s highest level. Day by day I got the chance to improve my sailing. The conditions were so consistent and the water super flat. The marketing of Pegasus already confirmed their activity in sponsorship for the 2008 event and I will be back there for sure. Finally I could place →

Went up one position

The wind was light. I put in my MFC Racing 44 after the first start got cancelled. I was in heat one, which needs always a good preparation. Half an hour later the PWA started heat number one of elimination 9 and I missed my start by 8 seconds because of a windlow. It was a very hard fight to →

Great conditions

I sailed quite fine in the yesterday´s racing. We had super nice Slalom conditions. Flat water and steady winds around 20 knots. Placed twice on the 21 st position, but was very close to make a 17th. I will keep on going today. It looks lighter, which can be good for me. I love to sail on my Isonic 122. In →

Felt good

Hi folks, Alacati is a quite nice place for sailing and in my case for Slalom sailing. I could place on the 22nd after the first day and lost two places yesterday by taking a too small sail in one race. The next race will bring another discard. It will be number 7. I had to take my 6,6, because the →

3 sails and 2 boards

No, no, the PWA did not change their format to Slalom 32, but I checked the windforecast, what I normally seldom do, and decided to take out my 9.2 of the sailbag before I left Austria. Hopefully a good decision. For today it looks great, the wind is up already in the morning. Will rigg my gear soon and check →

Arrived in Turkey

It´s a new country on the travel list. My girlfriend Kerstin was alreday in Bodrum after finishing her school. It´s quite hot and dry. The country seems to be sunburned. The water is rare and the wind, too, in the moment. For about two weeks the windmachine of Alacati runs a low programm. But for the next days the forecast →

Back from the Canary Islands

It was a great trip, packed with a lot of work. Kerstin did shoot more than 5000 pics, I did compete in 40 slalom 42 eliminations, filmed 18 tapes. We both tried to keep people on continentseven.com updated as good as possible. besides I created eventreports for the German SURF. For sure much more could be done, but it was →

Three legs are done

The ISA speed event had a bit of bad luck with the wind while the first three days. Super hot air arrived on the Canaries and the wind in Sotavenmto dropped. On the 1st of August the first race could be started. I could place on the 36th position. On the following day the wind picked up and the windangle →
