4 eliminations

All started relatively fine yesterday. I got two times 7th in my heat and felt comfortable. But in the third race of the day, the wind had picked up over 25 knots, I was close to get in fifth position, but lost my boom somehow at the second last leg and got passed by two sailors. In race numner 4 →

The ultimate Sylt Jacket

Another day in Sylt is over. The wind picked up while the day and one heat got finished in the discipline Slalom 42. Perhaps tomorrow I will get the chance tho show my skills. I will start in round 2 in the fourth heat. Some super nice ladies, who love windsurfing and the PWA worldcup at Westerland, showed up at the →

Still quiet

I went up early this morning expecting some nice wave action. But the conditions were not suitable for a men wavesailing competition. So I took some shots from the beautiful scenery of the sea and the beach. Yesterday night we had the yearly PWA ridersmeeting. I just can say, it looks good for the 2007 tourplan. In the moment we have →

Slalom shortclip

Two days ago the wind was on at the Brandenburger beach. I went for a Slalom session and was fully powered up on the Isonic 101 and the Code Red 6,7. Check the clip:

New sailsponsor

I got the chance to join the Severne Team and compete already in the Sylt event on the Code Red 2 models. After seven years of great collaboration I left Challengersails. For the 2007/2008 season I will compete on the Code Red racesails and for freeriding I will sail on the Gator. Now I am in a team with →

The Starboard Severne tent is on

The storm while the night tried to break down the flags, but most of the could stand the super strong gusts and heavy rains, which showed up after midnight. The wavesailors should have got these gusts instead of struggling in super difficult conditions. Today it´s sunny and warm. Kerstin and myself got the tentdecoration done again and we already could →

Clip – waving the Austrian flag

The 2007 PWA event is on and I got some national feelings waving the red white red flag on teh stage. The weather was grey in grey, but the red colours made it a bit nicer. It´s my third time beeing on the stage in Sylt and my 10th PWA Slalom 42 event in my young career. "nothing compared to the →

Long ride to Sylt

We had a long ride up to Sylt, passing by Munich. With 5 SUP boards on the roof and some gear for the Starboard/Severne Team we made it up to the island in the Northern sea. On the way we stopped at the incredible Snodome in the Lüneburger Heide. It was so impressive, also for mountain people. Chris The incredible Snowdome from →

Wind for 9,2

Some days left before leaving to Sylt to race for PWA points. 54 starters are registered in the entry list for the Slalom 42 discipline. A bit less than in Turkey, but a lot of excellent sailors. Today the northwesterly wind has been blown while the whole day with a force in between 7 and 18 knots. I was out →

A mixed up weekendprogramm

The weekend was full of activities. Out of the sporty view I try to keep on going in running and cycling, if there is not enogh wind. On saturday night my girlfriend and myself were invited to listen to the words of author Paul Grote, who was reading out of his recently published wine detective story. The German author visited →

The show is on

A heavy cold front arrived in Austria moving a big claud with heavy rains exactly above eastern country. That means: too much water in the rivers, some more water in the shallow lake and excellent wind mixed with arctic temperatures. Nevertheless I had to go for. Yesterday and today. The yesterday´s session was crazy, powered up on the EVO 80 →

Some wind and the star”ling”fighters

I catched some gusts of wind today, sailing my AERO 9,2 with a 520 again. I had no use for this size for a long time, but today the size helped me to get my Isonic 122 into planning. In my opinion a size like this is just a compromise for slalom sailing. All gets slow and all gets heavy, →
