Just beautiful

The today´s weather was so nice. We got sun and wind. The temperatures were nice, 4° plus and the water around 3°. Too warm for skiing and pretty nice for windsurfing. My choice was my Code Red 5,6 and the Isonic 87 expecting a snowstorm. The real storm did not arrive. Wind around 6 beauforts were a bit less for →

Is this the right way?

The IFCA hold their 2007 meeting in Almanarre while the Slalom Worldchampionships 2007. The results and points of discussion got published on the website: http://ifca.internationalwindsurfing.com/page0199v01.htm In the this years Slalom worldchampionships - this discipline is growing in the moment - did not see many top Pros registered. Think about worldchampionships in other sport disciplines. The creme de la creme will show →

Some little changes

There are always some chances in life. So I decided to cut my hair again. Thanks to my girlfriend, who does not only advise me in better jibing. Besides personal changes there were some changes in the PWA Slalom 42 rules for 2008 races decided. "The PWA Board recently voted to keep the maximum number of races at Slalom events at →

Work on my jibes

It was really windy again at Lake Neusiedler. I feel like living in Pozo in the moment. More than 20 knots were blowing all the day, in gusts up to 40ty knots. Today I decided to rigg my Code Red R2 5,6 and fixed a 32 MFC in my Isonic 87. It was the perfect gear for the stormy conditions. →

A bit stormy

In the moment the wind is on over Austria. Instead of heavy snowfall, like it happens in the higher regions, we got strong stormy gust of wind in the lower areas. The air temperature was around 4 °. Together with the cold wind it makes a temperature far below zero. It´s not super fun to sail in this conditions, but →

The new Gators convince

Just got the test of the actual Severne Gator 08. I saw no test so far, but felt really good sailing on the Gators. Used already sizes from 4.2/ 4.7/5.3/6.0 and 8.0. I felt that the sails are super light and the gaps in between the sizes are great. Check the test:

Back in Austria again

The wind is on, but it´s pretty cold, too. What a pity. It needs ton of motivation to go for sailing in this extremely cold temperatures. But there is still a chance. But the temperatures should not arise next week. The event in Croatia/Premantura is over, too. I think my performance was ok, but lost the victory because of many →

Unlucky

I really prepared well and on time this morning, rigged my biggest Slalom gear and went for a warm up run. But the race got started far below the fixed windlimit of 15 knots and I was much too small on my 7,7 Code Red R2 and the Isonic 101. So I lost ground and I guess the lead on →

Halloween at Hallowind

Today the wind was light, in between 8 and 15 knots, in Bora gusts up to 20. I rigged my biggest gear (only 3 sails, 2 boards and 3 fins are allowed in the Croatian Cup and I registered 101 and 7,7 as the biggest because of a really good winforecast), the 7,7 Code Red, the Isonic 101 and the →

Three race eliminations in high wind

Today the Bora windmachine was fully on again. I had some stress in the morning tuning my new Code Red R2, because I only brought a Skinny 400, but did need a normal diameter. Was such a rush when we packed. Kerstin organised a North 70% from Chris Sammer, who helped me out. He is in Premantura to promote products →
