Windy like in summertime

Very windy

While the last two day the trade winds picked up. Yesterday I went on my Slalom gear to train in 35 knots of wind. It was fun and I really felt good doing jibes. The training in lighter winds helped me to improve. All the topguys were on wavegear, also Björn. I would love to sail Slalom with some other →

A day like in a dream

The day started early around 6:50. Together with Didi, a surfer dude, we went down to Maspalomas, where a nice break was up. Didi waxed the 6´4" fish for me and the show was on. Unexperienced in surfing and not on a paddleboard for a while I really got impressed by myself. I could manage to ride some waves and →

Not so lucky today

The swell was big in the morning and the tide came up. The wind died. Nevertheless I went out in Vargas, but the wind was not enough. Forecast looks great. The tradewinds should be back within two days for a period of 4 days packed with waves. Anyway it´s a great feeling to be on such a nice island. You →

Windsurfing in Vargas

The wind was pretty much from the North and Northwest while the morning and early afternoon. First we went up to Ojos and further up to Canteras, but both beaches had no wind and relatively bad surf. On the way back around 15:00 the wind had picked up and turned a bit more into Northern direction. The choice was Vargas, →

The session ended with a swim back because the wind dropped suddenly to zero. Equipment: Severne Code Red R2 5,6 and Starboard Isonic 07 87 Enjoy it and thanks for filming to Kerstin! Chris

Windy on Gran Canaria

This time we really catched a nice period with wind and quite warm sunny weather. I had two nice Slalomsessions on 87 liters and 5,6 in Pozo. We also sailed with the wavegear in Pozo and Vargas, where it works much better, if the wind turns more into northerly direction, which happens sometimes. Kerstin had fun on the Blade →

Crazy trip back home

We made it back home Thailand, but with a bit of delay. Imagine, the flight from BKK had delay and in Germany some workers were on strike. Result was that we missed the connection flight and had to pick up all the gear and get it into the bus, up in the storage room of a hotel, down in the →

Vietnam windsurfing trip 2008 is over

After 25 days in the wonderful country of Vietnam we had to say good by. It was great meeting new friends and old friends. It was great to compete with locals.
