Boardtesting in Vietnam

Remi Vila and myself brought 14 boards - Futuras and Kodes for 2010 - to test to Mui Ne. The wind was nice and stable and we could almost finish 11 boards. We will do some retests tomorrow. Today the northeaster was blowing with 12 to 22 knots and the shorebreak were calm.

SUP session on lake Taco

I had a nice SUP session and great Thai food before leaving to Vietnam this afternoon, where I am going to test Futura boards out of the 2010 range together with Remi Vila. keep you updated, Chris

Arrived well in Thailand

Vienna - Munich - Bangkok. That was our connection. This time with only two boards and some riggs. That´s easy travelling. Today we sorted out things here at the Starboard headquarter, met many friends. The company grows. Some new buildings are up, with a massive SUP office. Margarete Engström work in there. After lunch we got the chance to test some SUP →

Back in Austria

It´s a really cold and foggy winter here in the east, in lower Austria. But there is not much time left to think about, if it´s good that the lake is frozen or the temperatutes all day and night long below zero. I still remember the nice days down there in South Africa, but did a lot of thing s in →

Good slalom action on the final day in SA

Today we had the last day of the IFCA Slalom Worldchampionships here in South Africa. The races took place in Big Bay for the first time while this competition. It felt strange to sail at a new spot. I prepared very well today, rigged three sailsizes in 6,7 / 6,1 and 5,6. In the beginning while the warm-up and while →

Wavy slalom at Witsands

Witsands is a really nice spot ,but challenging for slalom. Big sets kicked inside the bay and one of this monster cracked a mast on my 7,7. So I sailed the whole day on the 6,7 and iSonic 101. 3 eliminations got sailed and I made it twice into the final. Once I missed it by one position and the B-final →

Cape Town feeling

Share my first view on the Table Mountain from Table View with me. The other pic shows my spot in the club. I sanded my fins and sorted all gear out yesterday. As well we met our friend Werner and got some Asian food.

Arrived well in Cape Town

Keep it short. Arrived well in Cape Town, South Africa. It´s warm, flat and no wind, but should change. I registered 7,7 / 6,7 /6,1 / 5,6 and iSonics 101 and 86. Ross, Dirk and Ben are on similar sized gear as well. Today it could start. Cheers, Chris

Ice on the lake

The winter is hard this season and the lake Neusiedler already frozen. Was great to walk around and take some pics. No wind, iceskaters, swans, happyness and quiet air. Kerstin took some amazing shots. The time was not enough to enjoy the incredible moments. It´s one day before leaving to Cape Town, where I will compete in the IFCA Slalom Worldchampionships, →
