My boards
I use Starboard since 2001 and got much involved into testing products and sailing most of their developed products through the years: Carves, Freesex, Acid, Flare, Sonic, iSonic, Futura, Serenity, Formula, Quad, Atom, Gemini, Go, Start, Rio, Kode…
Actually I am using the iSonics 87/107 and 117 wide for Slalom. Plus Evo IQ 76 for the waves, the Flare 101 for funsailing and Kode 113 for freeriding. I am already excited about the 2013 boards. I already tested the production iSonics 2013 in 107/110/ 117 and 127 at Alacati in September.
My sails and masts
Since October 2007 I use Severne gear. On the race course the REFLEX III, developed by Steve Allen, Ben Severne and Björn Dunkerbeck, is my motor. I registered following sizes for 2012: 5,6/6,2/7,0/7,8/8,6/9,2
The REFLEX III gets rigged on the Severne Enigma mast, a high end product.
For freeriding I use the Blade, S1 or Swat in the windy conditions. For freeriding with bigger gear I use the Gator or the NCX pro.
In 2013 I will race on the Reflex 4 in the same sizes as 2012.
Mission to Surf
Mission to Surf is a new sponsor in 2013. It´s the best windsurfcenter located at my homespot in Podersdorf, Lake Neusiedl. Everyone, who wants to start with the sport in Austria or rent gear, should join this center located next to the entrance of the camping site.
My booms
Since 2008 I get support bei Aeron Sports, a China/Taiwan based company, which delivers excellent booms, extensions and mastbases. Since I use the booms, I never broke one so far!!
My wetsuits
The Austrian based company Camaro supports me for the third season already. Since I am using the wetsuits sailing in cold conditions makes much more fun. They developed an excellent, extremely light full drysuit, which allows me to sail during the cold wintertime. During the wintermoths I use the Ice Tec, a semi dry overall with integrated icevest or teh Stormtec, a super elastic drysuit with specific underwear.
My fins
My trainings partner Peter Pfaffenbichler started a fin project for Formula boards some years ago. In 2010 he entered the Slalom market. His high tech Carbon fins, called Pfaffi fins, are tested by him and myself at our homespot Lake Neusiedl. I take them all around the world to several spots and try to get the best feedback, to improve in development. The Pfaffi fins get tested on Starboard iSonics. In 2010 the S1 got developed and in 2011 the new S2 got released, a even more powerful fin for small and medium sized Slalom and Freerace boards. In 2012 the S3 followed. Right now Peter received the brand new mold and works on the first protos of the S4, which will be released in early Spring 2013. Some sizes are ready for testing! It will cover the range of all three existing models and available from 34,5 (33,5) cm till 51,5 cm.
Sportpool Burgenland
Sportpool is a local institution, which support sportspeople in the country Burgenland. It´s a great support and helps a lot to cover some costs on tour.
Podersdorf
Podersdorf at Lake Neusiedl is my homesport. It´s the Worldcup spot! The local tourism management supports me and I compete with their logo in my sail all aroud the world.
Thanks to all my sponsors, who make it possible to live the windsurfing dream!
