Was fun racing there last year (Pic: Kerstin Reiger).
Peter Pfaffenbichler (AUT-84), good friend and trainings partner, worked hard during the wintermonths and released a new Slalom racing fin for 2013, his fourth Pfaffi Fin model, the S4 LTX pro Slalom. I am really excited about it as the fin has the modern Slalom fin look with a thin tip. The base is wider and the first prototypes have a nice stiffness. Peter as well developed a new measurement fixture and he is able to simulate the twist and torsion angle on land. The new model will be available in sizes from 33,5 cm up to 51,5 cm.
Peter is working on prototypes in the necessary sizes and we are going to test the S4 LTX pro Slalom with the new gear. We as well will test the new ones against the existing S1, S2 and S3 models and several products from other brands.
It’s the coldest March since many years. Temperatures far below 10°, but wind above 30 knots. And that’s the most important. Got in the full drysuit and had fun at my homespot. But soon we are off to Italy for Pizza, Pasta and more, yeaah…
Kerstin got some nice shots. I am really into freeriding at the moment. My new racing sails, the Reflex 4, will arrive during the second week of April and the boards later in the month. It’s all good. First competition will be on Sylt during the second week of May!
