Extremely hard conditions

We had two day of Slalom 42 racing here at Costa Teguise/ Lanzarote. The Wind was quite strong and the water choppy mixed up with some waves, especially while the firts races on day one. I am lucky registering a 5,8 sail. With the 6,6 it would have been hard to pass the course. In the moment I am on position 30. It´s so hard to advance in the first heat. 9 sailors battle for the top five positions. Once I had the chance after overtaking Arnon after a jibe. But at the next mark I crashed myself. The goal for this event is to stay inside the PWA points and make it up a round. While the next three days, the competition will end at the 7th, the wind should go down a bit. Let´s see.
