Windsurfing clinics at Jibe´s

While the last week I ran 4 different windsurfing clinics for the guests and locals at the Jibe´s windsurf center here in Mui Ne, Vietnam. We started with a Powerjibing lesson, continued with Jumping clinic followed by the Duck Jibe and had one clinic about basic Freestyle – body drag, airjibe, switchstance riding.
I have not teached for a while, but it turned out to be fun! And I think the clients really improved: Deborah and Hsin Ee from Singapore learnt their carving jibe, Sandra from Munich improved her jibing, jumping and the Duck Jibe and went some meters in switch stance. Giuseppe impressed his girlfriend by great action and can jump very high and carves into the jibe like a racer. He almost sticked a Duck Jibe.
Semi local Philipp, who lives part of the year in Vietnam and is from Switzerland, carves through duckjibes with handwash, can do the helitack, the bodydrag and almost landed a perfect airjibe. Respect!
Catherine from France has a perfect position on the board, speeds up and can carve into jibes. Her husband Gaeton can keep his arm relaxed on the boom, sails on all kind of boardsizes very well, has a lot of speed and carves through jibes.
Julien from France, who is in charge of the Jibe´s windsurfing center, can sail switchstance, had the best looking body drag crashes and jumps with a lot of power.
I really see a lot of potential in clinics, if the conditions fit to the level of the clients. We had wind from 12 to 25 knots and waves up to 1 m.
I really hope that all participants will keep on practicing harder in the near future to improve their level more and more.
Good luck guys and thanks to Pascal, Julien and all the beachboys for the great support!
