Southeastasia review

Finally the trip to Southeastasia came to an end. This year it was so great! A lot of windsurfing time and fun. Just some days after the arrival in Bangkok I went to Vietnam to test Futura boards with Remi Vila. Later Kerstin and myself flew to eastern Malaysia to find some new spots at the sandy shores. We were successful indeed.
Back in Thailand we went on SUP night paddle session on the Chao Praya river and a boat trip to Koh Linh, where we had fun while snorkeling and light wind watersport.
Afterwards a trip to Vietnam followed: iSONIC and Futura testing for the 2010 range, competing in the Vietnam Funcup, having clinics in windsurfing techniques and a lot of time on the water. 100 % of wind in 17 days and finally some waves on the last three days.
Back in Bangkok we celebrated my 35th birthday in a Korean Barbecue: Kerstin, Tina, Sander, Tony and Dario, who had birthday one day before, but is born in the same year.
On the final day we drove down to Pattaya with Tina and were lucky with the wind. 8 – 18 knots. I tested the nostrap (strapless) windsurfing concept, which turned out to be fun.
The flight back was impressive when having a clear view on the white peaks of Pakistan.
Now it´s time to prepare myself here in Austria and work on some stories for the mags.
See you on the water and thanks to all people who made this trip possible!
