VÖWS Windsurfing instructor course 2020 – a special course due to COVID-19
The VÖWS Windsurfing instructor courses 2018 & 2019 were a big success. I got the chance to teach motivated 11 students in 2018 and 13 students in 2019. They were from Austria, Slovakia, Germany, Spain and even Brazil. We got plenty of wind and brilliant spring weather at the beginning of April 2018 and 2019. Luckily it wasn’t too chilly. And the results in the final tests were amazing. I bet everyone enjoyed the spring time in Podersdorf at the Mission To Surf windsurfing center.
The instructor course 2020 in Podersdorf, Lake Neusiedl, Austria was a good success, but a different one. We had the plan to run the VÖWS Windsurfing instructor course at the Mission To Surf windsurfing center in 2020. The Coronavirus disease (COVID–19) outbreak in March forced us to change plans and run part of the course in online lessons (Nic Panne was part of it, he runs the center) and postponed the 2020 instructors lessons on the beach. At the moment we got the green light we immediately started the courses at the beach in the end of May (until end of June we got done all lessons), but we had to split the group as we were too many due to the COVID rules. In total 18 participants joined the course in 2020 and many of them later worked in watersport centers.
The VÖWS Windsurfing instructor course 2021 (C-licence or A -licence) at international standards will hopefully be run in early April in 2021 in Podersdorf, Lake Neusiedl. Now we are looking positive to the future lessons and hope to run the next course in spring 2021! We will keep you updated about the next possible dates. Just send me a message if you are interested to partcipate in the next course.
